• The different Alize 2 upgrades will become available by October 1st. Here is a small summary of this new announcement :
  • The Mimesis 39DA++ becomes the 39DA2 with a ~ 5% price increase.
  • The SRDA D/A Converter becomes SRDA2 with a ~ 10% price increase.
  • The Mimesis 39DA and 39 DA++ may be upgraded to 39DA2 by simply exchanging the output module.
  • The SRCD may be upgraded to SRCD2 the same way. The upgrade kit name in both cases is 39Alize2 . Price is upon request.
  • The SRDA may be upgraded to the SRDA2 by simply exchanging the internal module. The upgrade kit is named srda96. Price is upon request.

• This is not a quiz.. The equation reads SR2 + SR3 = SR5. The now well known Goldmund SR5 is now giving birth to two children :
  • The Goldmund SR2 (2 channels of course)
  • The Goldmund SR3 (3 channels of course)

They are assembled with the same circuits, look the same and have the same performance. They are aimed to the people who want to make their home-theater modular and feel 5 channels in the same amp is too much burden with cabling. Availability is October 15th.

With its 3 new power amps, the Epilogue, the new Theater3 speaker system and soon the Chiasma1 Chiasma2 and Chiasma3 multi-channel processors, Goldmund is progressively building its Home Theater offer as a full new line of products.

The new Goldmund Theater3 Speaker system will be available soon. We remind you it follows the Goldmund Theater3 principles and include the right and left channel as well as a provision for the phantom center channel recommended by Goldmund.

Each enclosure is an assembly of two identical two way speaker, based on the Epilogue design. One of the half section is used for the right (or left) channel, the second for the center channel. For Stereo, the two halves are paralleled and receive the same signal. By adopting this configuration, the 3 front channels are 100% identical in sound and 100% time aligned, a performance that no 3 x speaker traditional speaker system may achieve. More, by choosing the height of the center screen half of the speaker, the phantom center channel is really appearing in the center of the screen, something a speaker below or above the screen cannot achieve either. Using a traditional wood enclosure, with drivers and crossovers similar to those used in the Epilogue, the Theater3 provides extreme sound quality at a more affordable price and are a perfect match for the new SR amps presented above.
