GOLDMUND - Swiss Made High-End Audio Equipment

The Millennium Computer Software is coming out nicely in the factory’s prototypes. In exclusivity we have been able to take some pictures of the software as well as some of the internal mechanical views from the prototypes.

We already put on our Web site some of the software files we developed for our customers using a Pronto with a Goldmund product. We are currently working on more advanced solutions that will also be downloadable from our web site. So keep watching…

We never sold much of the SRTT CD transport, most of our sales in this domain being concentrated on the SRCD2. With our new DVD in the SR line which can also play CD’s, the SRTT has not much justification anymore. We will stop its production in a very close future.

All electronic equipment manufacturers today suffer of a very serious lack of components which is progressively making our work more and more difficult. The cause is the boom in the Telecommunication market which is using many similar components (IC’s, resistors, capacitors, especially SMD type). For Goldmund it means our manufacturing delays are becoming every day more unpredictable since they depend more and more of the parts suppliers own problems.

Some of our products are already affected, as are the D/A converters in which we use exceptionally high quality components which are now nearly unavailable, at any price. As usual, this should be temporary and should be corrected by the end of 2001. In the meantime we are paying much higher price (up to +15%) and wait much longer delay to get your products manufactured. Please understand and be patient. If it gets worse, it may mean that you will wait even longer and, we are afraid, pay even more to get your Goldmund product… We will keep you posted.
