A small Subwoofer from Goldmund for the Logos family.
The first definitive metal speaker for top quality Home-Theater, the Logos has attracted a lot of attention. Ideal to build small footprint Home-Theaters around a plasma screen, with ideal center channel positioning, the Logos give an extra-sharp, perfectly transparent, musically-correct and speech-correct sound to any message. But the deep sound effects of some films (as well as the bad habits of some customers with over-booming Home-Theater bass) is not covered by the small woofer of the Logos and its -3dB limit at 50Hz. We needed a Sub for this and we created one. The Logos Sub is a very tiny (35cm x 32cm x 32cm or 13.7”x12.5”x12.5”), all built in metal like the Logos and capable of 105dB at 25Hz. Adjustable in crossover frequency and response, it may be used as a linear extension of the Logos or to grossly emphasis the boom sound so favored by film lovers. It should be available later this year.
Short and last availability for old Mimesis 28 to be upgraded to Millennium Version.
We did not make it possible initially for cost reasons. But with the large number of units we produce now, we have been able to drop the cost of this upgrade down to an acceptable point. The latest Job3 and Job4 technology and the latest safety circuit introduced in the new units are part of the upgrade, so we change the total of 5 circuits inside. We also mechanically provide the latest beautiful aluminum side panels and thick cover to the oldest units.
The production of Mimesis 28 made in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 may be upgraded to the latest Millennium version, starting with any serial number above 28110201. Please contact us for the conditions. But the units have to come back to the factory to be upgraded.
Small improvements in the Goldmund Powercord but a much bigger success.
The recent reintroduction of the Goldmund Powercord has generated waves of enthusiasm. Audiophiles and Audio dealers from around the world have rediscovered the sound quality of this traditional Goldmund product and were quite surprised. A new plug quality, a new way to solder the inside cable and a revised cable quality participated to the sound improvement, but intrinsically, it is unchanged. Seen from today’s success, we should interrupt production of some products from time to time, and launch them again…

And visit our latest “Home Networking” Section in the Goldmund Website.
Since House Automation and Home Networking is becoming the big market in Audio and Video, manufacturers have found incredibly complicated solutions to fill you house with wires of all kind, software that nobody knows how to program and unsuitably complicated Human Interface (looks more like machine interface to most of us, real humans…). And forget performance. Ugly electronics, hidden speakers, tons of wire and multiple format changes have done nothing for the transparency of sound, if any for the transparency of the layout. Time has come to make it simpler, easier to use and much better in performance.
Goldmund is working hard to bring revolutionary solutions to this nightmare. Perfect sound and image, wireless setups and softwareless computers are part of it.
You will see it happen in the coming months. Follow our progress in the new Goldmund Web Site “Home Networking” corner and learn why all top installers in the world are lining up at our door.
