The Goldmund Eidos Reference is now shipping
The Eidos Reference has been tough to make but the first 10 units have now been assembled, tested and shipped to the first subscribers. The first comments are especially elogious for the new Alize5 decoding section which got tremendous response, but it is still too early to get a full report on the machine unique Audio qualities. So everything is now looking better for our impatient subscribers, even if a new subscription taken today will only be delivered in February 2005. That’s the price to pay for the machine’s exceptional success. Thank you again for your patience if you are a new buyer.
SR8 is here
The Universal Preamplifier family is growing. The new SR line Universal Preamplifier, called the SR8 (for 8 output channels) is now shipping. With only 8 outputs channel and the size of a Goldmund SR product, the new Goldmund SR8 shares most of the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30 technology. In fact all the critical circuitry is alike. Except for the number of channels the only other limitation is a single local zone. The 2-channel and multi-channel sound quality remains of the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30 type, making the SR8 the best sounding preamp ever made for the price. As a Multi-channel processor, the sonic quality is also dramatically improved compared to other products in the same price league. As the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30, the Goldmund SR8 provides an extreme flexibility to the placement and number of speakers in the room, even if their maximum number of discrete channels is “limited” to 8. After the considerable success of the new Goldmund Universal Preamplifier concept introduced with the Mimesis 24 and the Mimesis 30, the new Goldmund SR8 brings the final note to make the new Universal concept really universally accepted.
The new Logos Speaker is a big success
The new Logos mini+Sub assembly is getting ground. The first production batch of the new frame will be shipping by the end of November and we have more orders we could produce before year’s end. The spectacular sound quality, the ruggedness and the built-in subwoofer made it a big success in small Home-Theater setups, especially when played in 2 channels. But as a 2-channel Hifi Speaker, it also proved successful due to the exceptionally flat response and the great low-frequency extension, in fact better than any floor-standing speaker of such a size. We remind you that to build a pair of Mini+Sub as it appears on the picture above, you need 1 x pair of Mini Logos active, 2 x Logos active Subwoofers and 2 x Logos frame, all sold separately.
