Mimesis 20H - D/A Converter

Through the years, Goldmund has built a renowned expertise in the digital audio domain thanks to its Alize D/A converter technology. The Mimesis 20 History includes the latest Alize 7 D/A circuitry that was originally developed for the Telos 5000 which, along with its new aesthetic, makes it the most prestigious and technologically advanced Goldmund converter.

The Mimesis 20H case is built of eloxed aluminum that gives it its Goldmund signature style but its front panel has a new look with carved inclined planes that throw the gold plate into relief.

It is with the use of additional metals such as brass that the ultimate asymmetrical grounding has been integrated to this unit, eliminating spurious vibrations preventing them to affect the signal.

The Alize 7 circuit is a stepped D/A with an extended dynamic range of >130dB, and a perfect time alignment correction. The sonic effect is a much deeper silence, with greatly improved micro-dynamics and a spectacular transparency.

This result is also due to the integrated power supply feeding the Alize circuits. It is inspired from the newly designed power supply used with the Mimesis 22H Analog Preamplifier and guarantees a perfectly pure power is delivered to the unit.

The Mimesis 20H DA converter offers 6 inputs (with the same input circuit as in the Mimesis 32 acoustic processor) including: 1 = RCA, 2 = Toslink, 3 = RCA & AES/EBU, 4 = RCA & Toslink, 5 = RCA & ATT, 6 = USB And 4 outputs (RCA and XLR).

Dedicated to ultra high end systems the Mimesis 20H is the reference 2-channel DA converter that all serious audiophiles or customers in search of the most pristine sound want in their listening room.
