GOLDMUND - Swiss Made High-End Audio Equipment

If you are using our Lineal Interconnect cable (the Goldmund analogue interconnect) you probably love it enough to treat it with care. However, in very severe stress circumstances, it may occur that one of the connection inside a plug breaks. The cable center conductor is extremely fragile and if the wire is pulled without care or twisted too aggressively, such accident arrives. With an ordinary Interconnect, you could resolder it and take more care the next time. Nobody would have ever heard about it. But the Goldmund cables are not conventionally soldered. The bonding technology used requires a great deal of equipment and skill, and the interconnects can only be repaired by the factory.

Seeing the accident too frequently, we have decided to upgrade the plug secure attachement to avoid the accident to occur. This new assembly improvement is available on all Goldmund Interconnects delivered from now on.

The Mimesis 20 software release 0.7 is available. Curing some noise problems and improving user interface the upgrade is available immediately.

The Mimesis 22 software release 0.7 should be available this month too. It improves tracking of the potentiometers and some details in the user Interface.

More, dealers and distributors can get these software upgrades from us with a new automatic loader built-in the diskette. By connecting a PC Computer to the Mimesis "Host" RS232 connector, and loading the diskette, the transfer is now fully automated.

After some transport mishandling, some of the early Mimesis 29 delivered shown a propensity to oscillate badly. After investigation, we discovered the grounding of the chassis was insufficiently secured. Correction and definitive securization of the problem is available in our Service Note M29-970403, now available in this site.

Thanks to our very successful new products, the recently published results of our 1997 first quarter break historical records. 20% in sales increase compared to last year first Quarter and 25% increase in net profit will certainly help us to do even better products in the coming months.
