The SRP2 Preamplifier.
Take a traditional SRP and add a volume control potentiometer of higher quality which is remote controlled, including a soft muting function : you get an SRP2 (replacing the SRP), quite easy to use, matching in look and size with the legendary SRA and now SRM2.

The SRM2 with increased power
The SRM won all best comments in 1998, considered by top reviewers around the world as the best sounding amplifier ever made at that price. Its limit was the 125W power and we decided to apply the circuit we developed for the Mimesis 28 inside, pushing the power to 250W RMS on 8 Ohms, and more than 300W before clipping. The result, the Goldmund SRM2 (replacing the SRM) is quite astonishing coming from such a small (unchanged size) box and at such a (for Goldmund) reasonable price. Sound quality is literally unchanged. Delivery starts in March 99.
For the Home-Theater : The SR5 5 channels Power Amplifier
The recipe is simple. Put 5 x SRM inside a single box, compress heavily and you get the latest addition of the SR family : The Goldmund SR5 Home Theater 5 channel amplifier. Sound quality is more than exemplary since there are SRM circuits inside. The Power is more than sufficient since the SRM are each 125W if all full power together (which is not a real case in real life) and raises up to 150W per channel on 8 Ohms if all channels are not at full power simultaneously.Availability is late March.

The Goldmund PC-Theater Demonstration Room in Geneva
The room is now operational. Full Epilogue speakers, with Mimesis 29.4 power amps, the Mimesis 20, Mimesis 22 and Mimesis 36 front end for music, DVD, LD, Tape for Video. The Barco 1209S projector is associated with a Faroujda and the screen is 3.6m wide (12”) with ample light level.
Used with progressive DVD, the image is ultimate in quality with the traditional doubler only. For less defined source we are expecting to set up soon a computer-based revolutionary scan converter that beats all the traditional solutions. AC3 decoding is experimental (that’s where we experiment the Chiasma) and the full Epilogue system is used for front channels, center channel and subwoofer channel in the unique Goldmund time-aligned proprietary configuration. Rear channels are under experimentation and we should be able to reveal and demonstrate a new revolutionary solution soon.
The sitting area provides full screen quality in both Audio and Video imaging for 5 listeners in a comfortable living room environment.
To answer a very frequent question, we are sorry to confirm the room is not accessible for end users except if accompanied by their authorized Goldmund dealer or distributor.
