Alize 2 new products and upgrades are ready for shipment.
The new SRDA2 with Alize2 96kHz module.
The different Alize 2 upgrades are now available as well as the Mimesis 39DA2, the SRCD2 and the SRDA2. The Mimesis 39DA and 39 DA++ may be upgraded to 39DA2 by simply exchanging the output module. The SRCD may be upgraded to SRCD2 the same way. The upgrade kit name in both cases is 39Alize2. The SRDA may be upgraded to the SRDA2 by simply exchanging the internal module. The upgrade kit is named srda96.
Results of first deliveries confirm the first impression. All customers mention the “tubelike” smooth sound and exceptional detail level even on regular CD. The upgrade kits are in stock.
Theater3 delivery starts in December.
The new Goldmund Theater3 Speaker system will be available for delivery in December 1999.
With its unique 3 channel capability and extreme sound quality, it should make all the difference with usual dynamic but very colored Home-Theater speaker systems. Nearly impossible to distinguish from the Epilogue 1 for its sound quality, it may be the ideal speaker for a Home-Theater system of highest level. Its bass extension will be sufficient for any movie reproduction at domestic levels. An additional Theater3 Subwoofer self-powered system, matched in dimension and finish, is planned to be introduced early next year when additional bass dynamics is required.
Standard finish is mat black lacquer. At a slightly lower cost, the Goldmund Theater3 is available unfinished for decorator application. A beautiful special mahogany wood finish will also become available at a slightly higher cost.
Each enclosure has 2 separate inputs, one connected to the top half speaker, one to the bottom. Each section is equipped with a 8” Goldmund “Velvet Kevlar” Woofer and a textile dome tweeter. Both inputs may be used in parallel for Stereo applications with single cable, BI-wiring or BI-amping.
A new D/A converter from Goldmund, the Mimesis 21.
The new Goldmund Mimesis 21 D/A Converter should be available soon. The Mimesis 21 will become the D/A Converter of the Goldmund “High-End” line of products. It will replace both the Mimesis 12 and the Mimesis 10 older designs.
With 8 inputs, including one Toslink, one ATT, 3 AES/EBU XLR and 3 coaxial in standard, it should fit in any quality system.
With its remote control volume and balance output, it may also become the digital preamplifier any today’s full digital system may have dreamed of. An RS232 connector on the rear panel provides software control and new software download capability.
Capable of 96kHz 24 bits conversion, it uses the new Alize2 Goldmund technology with its unique sound quality, perfect time alignment and exceptional definition.
The Goldmund Mimesis 21 appearance will exactly match those of the Mimesis 27 and Mimesis 28.
The unit should become available by early next year.
