The Goldmund Millennium waiting list soon to be opened…
The “absolute” Goldmund amplifier (see our last newsletter) will be available by subscription only. By late September 2000, the subscription will be opened. Subscribers will be able to reserve their amplifiers by putting down a significant deposit, and will optionally choose in the list of available serial numbers.
Delivery will start in December 2000 and will be made in the order of the subscription. Considering the numerous hand tuned parts of the amplifier, the speed of deliveries has not yet been released but should be quite low.
More Advanced Digital Circuitry from Goldmund
Our company is currently working on its future Alize 3 standard for the D/A converter family. The new technology, being based on a very different approach than just making a new chip work inside our products (the traditional competition approach), will bring great improvement in transparency and grain but will keep the exceptional time alignment of the existing Alize 2 circuitry. By essence it will also be a much more costly and may be introduced first in only our top models.
Simultaneously, a very small generation of D/A is developed by our company at ultra-low cost for applications inside simple amplifiers and active speakers. Based on Alize technology, it will be used for low cost line of products.
Mimesis 28+ and Mimesis 28 upgrade available soon.
The Mimesis 28+ will be available in late August or early September. Using a new front panel circuit, the Mimesis 28+ will be controllable by RS232 and may be remote controlled. It also takes the new look enhancement of the Mimesis 27+ with new thick aluminum side panels. Mimesis 28 may be upgraded at the factory as are the Mimesis 27.

Goldmund is back in Taiwan, a Success Story.
The return of Goldmund into the Taiwanese market is one of the last example of successful cooperation between Goldmund and a very active distributor. Majestic Audio in Taipei decided in agreement with Goldmund few months ago to reintroduce the Goldmund brand to the Taiwanese market where it was not active for quite a long time. A combination of good understanding, strong marketing effort and lots of work made it a very successful operation for both Goldmund and Majestic Audio. In less than a year, Majestic is becoming Goldmund second best distributor worldwide and considerably increased it’s position in the Taiwanese market. More, thanks to links with Taiwanese customers around the world, Majestic has been able to sell one of the top Full Epilogue system ever sold, and which will be finally installed soon in the USA. We are extremely happy with existing collaboration and wish to Jason Ma, the President of Majestic Audio a lot of success.
This example shows the power that the Goldmund brand name can carry in an unexplored market and we hope to see more of those in other parts of the world where Goldmund is not or not well distributed.
Goldmund announces a strong plan to establish base in the US distribution
The return of a distribution base in the USA has been announced by Goldmund on July 4th. Establishing a Goldmund USA company in Encino Ca, Goldmund announced its serious return in the US market. Changes in distribution price of its products and an improved service capability will prelude the announcement of many new Home Theater products by the company over the coming 12 months. These products are aimed to conquer a significant share of the fast growing High End Home Theater market inthe US.
Based on existing and new technologies, new Video solutions will be introduced by Goldmund in a market which has been characterized more by low value, improper technology and inadequate installation care in the past years, said the Goldmund spokesman at the press conference in Geneva.
