GOLDMUND - Swiss Made High-End Audio Equipment

The JOB active analogue preamplifier is coming to market soon. Based on the most efficient and simplest audio circuit yet found in our products, it displays a very good quality in the traditional JOB package. With four analogue inputs and a built-in power supply it can feed a pair of JOB 150 or JOB 300 or a JOB 500 with highest audio quality.

The Goldmund Library software designed for use with the Goldmund Chiasma to distribute wirelessly music in a whole house is getting improved everyday. We now have a quite accurate timing new program that allows professional use in building programs. More, the local database created on a Chiasma can be exported and imported to be moved to another one easily and even appended to an existing other database, allowing user who have two houses to easily transfer the music they ripped on one system to another location. It may be used on hardware like USB hard disks or by the net. An extraction of a database can now also be exported to a more powerful database system like Oracle or SQL server for professional applications. All these new optional features should be ready when the first Chiasma are installed.

The Goldmund revolutionary approach to distribute music wirelessly in a house should soon be used to distribute films from DVD too. An experimental demo has been shown recently at the Goldmund factory, so far in private. But we expect to have it operational in Los Angeles demo Center pretty soon. Since a DVD may take up to something like 7GB to be stored without loss in quality, it needs storage. Only 60 DVD can be ripped into a Chiasma so far.

But the company presented simultaneously a Chiasma 2 tiny machine with built-in 1 Terabyte of additional storage or around 200 DVD total, so collector may soon be satisfied, especially since several Chiasma 2 can easily be linked to a Chiasma 1….

And last but not least, the remote control unit used in the demo had the kindness to take care of lowering the screen, close the drapes and turn off the lights smoothly, all wirelessly.

It still looks more like a laboratory rather than a real home environment, but the big Home Theater System of our Los Angeles demonstration center is progressing in quality every day. First demonstrations are taking place for the professionals and few new solutions are experimented that should improve it again in the coming weeks. Our Geneva team of engineers is working in preparing all the configurations that will make it the most accurate Home Theater ever made.
