New Products - Product Improvements
The new SR series is coming
With the growing demand for multi-format players, we decided to change our SR DVD Easy to a new model, the SRDVD which will be a multi-format player accepting SACD, DVD-Audio and even MP3 discs in addition to the CD and DVD Video traditional format. With analogue (2ch and 6ch) and digital (Toslink and RCA) Audio outputs, S-Video and Component Video outputs, the SRDVD will cover all needs for a source in a SR line system.
The unit adopts the new shape and size we have presented for the future SR line products with same width and front panel look as the High end line products and silver cover. It will be available by September.
The corresponding successor of the SRP2 and SRM2 are announced for the same delay but no detail is available yet.
The Goldmund Eidos Reference multi-format Player takes shape in Geneva
In addition to its mechanical appearance, the Eidos Reference now starts to be better known for its electronics too. The company pre-announced for this unique machine a new format of Audio and Video transfer to increase the accuracy of long lines often encountered in high level Home Theater systems. The Video and audio outputs, both digital will for the first time use an optical fiber transfer cable developed by Goldmund. The new Spdif Optical Audio and DVI optical Video will use the same glass fibers, developed especially.
Also disclosed recently is that the DVI Optical output will use a built-in high quality scaler in order to provide the direct connection to a Goldmund Plasma or Projector (Single or Twins) in native mode. This solution provides the highest possible image accuracy. The new circuit currently under development will include new features like Mosquito noise reduction, Chroma Error correction, etc.. never seen in a DVD machine before.
The Eidos 18D still the only working DVI multi-format machine
Since its first presentation in January 2003 in Las Vegas the Goldmund Eidos 18D has remained untouched in its capability to play any format and issue the picture in DVI digital Video. A few other machines have been announced and most tried to copy the Goldmund Eidos but until today, none of the production model is working in DVI. A proof of Goldmund high technology advance.
Marketing News
Goldmund Swiss factory severely backordered on many products
The growth of demand for Goldmund products is putting us in severe backorder again for the currently most successful products. No summer break is expected. The end of SARS in Asia, the constant success of our Japanese team despite the local economy, the remarkable work made by our new distributor in Korea and the serious position we are quickly gaining in the USA is creating for our factory people a very difficult challenge.
So, please be patient. If you have on order some Active Mini Logos, Eidos 18D, Mimesis 24 or even a full Epilogue system, be aware that our delays are growing dramatically for these products due to their unexpected level of success. And this is now also becoming true for the Mimesis 28M and 29M.
We have decided to increase once more our production capacity, but this takes time, and we thank you in advance for your patience and your Goldmund strong support in the meantime.
