GOLDMUND - Swiss Made High-End Audio Equipment

The long awaited new SR line is here, finally. Replacing the whole earlier SR line as per September 1st, 2003.

The new SR line has changed its look to better match in size, finish and even front panel design the Goldmund High-end and Ultimate lines. This should allow a better aesthetic mix of products from our different lines in a system. All products will be available with a rack mount front panel on special order.

As all new products from Goldmund this fall, the cover is now in aluminum and silver finish so the new unit look distinctively more luxurious than before.

The new line will have at least 12 different models progressively announced during the coming months covering both Audio, Video and Wireless House control.

On September 1st become available the following models :

• the SRP2.3 Analog and Digital Preamplifier (top of the above image). Replaces the SRP2. 5 analogue inputs on the basic model. By adding the Digital Alize 4 Upgrade option, 1, 2 or 3 of the analogue inputs may be replaced by digital inputs. Remote control Volume and Muting. New low level electronics circuitry using the Goldmund new “High-Inertiaª” Power Supply circuitry developed for ultra-low noise and distortion Microphone and Phono stages. Size 44x30x6.5cm
• the SRM2.3 Mono Power Amplifier (same look as the SR2.3 on the picture above). Replaces the SRM2. Uses the latest JOB 4 circuit with an even lower noise and higher dynamics. 2 power transformer allowing more than 300W on 8 Ohms before clipping. Size 44x30x6.5cm.
• the SR2.3 Stereo Power Amplifier (on the picture above). Replaces the SR2 and the SRA. Uses the latest JOB 4 circuit. More than 200W per channel on 8 Ohms before clipping. Provided with a switch connecting both inputs together to minimize cabling in multi-amping or muti-driver configuration. Size 44x30x6.5cm
• the SRDVD Multi-format Player (on the lower picture above). Replaces the Easy DVD. Uses the latest multi-format transport technology from Pioneer. Optimized by using Goldmund circuit to playback CDs with highest sound quality. Plays SACD, DVD Audio and MP3 discs. Analogue inputs including multi-channel. Size 44x30x6.5cm.

All these units are starting delivery on September 1st.

After this first introduction, Goldmund will release in November the SR3.3 a 3 channel amplifier in the same chassis as the SR2.3, providing 3 x 200W.

Also already presented as prototypes are a fully digital Preamp (digital In and digital Out with built-in DSP capability), the Chiasma 10 Wireless receiver, a DVI switch and a top of the line Video Scaler. More about those later.

Goldmund hit another record in July 2003, continuing its fast progress in the market of ultra-high-end Audio around the world.

Audio Video Interiors, the US magazine, recently celebrated the most important products of 2003 and among them, gave Goldmund the Award for the Eidos 18D as one of the most advanced and innovative products of the year.
