Goldmund Mimesis 30 finally on its pre-serial production stage

Mimesis 30

Goldmund announced last year that the Mimesis 30, it’s High-end line Multi-channel controller would be ready early 2004.

It was probably quite optimistic.

However, with time running, we are getting close and the baby seems to be in good shape.

We remind you it is the same concept (and circuits) as the Mimesis 24 but with the limitation of only (!) 16 output channels and 7 inputs analogue and digital. The front panel interface is even simpler and the way of using it incredibly intuitive.

With the sound quality it may provide even for a 2-channel system, we expected big success. The 3 months waiting list we are building shows that, here too, we were too optimistic.

First pre-serial delivery : May 2004. Availability after the the waiting list : July 2004. Contact us for an earlier delivery.

New Goldmund Team Member comes to take care of Sales and Marketing

The recent growth that Goldmund achieved may look good on the paper but it costed us to loose some opportunities and not care enough of some of our customers. To help us take a better care of all our customers, we recently added Kjeld Jespersen to our team. Kjeld is from Denmark, speakes a perfect english, and will concentrate first on our European dealers and distributors. In any case, if you need help, just write an e-mail at info@goldmund.com and he will take care of you.

Even Better Goldmund Sound at Even Less Expensive Price ?

After the recent introduction of our new SR line, something is becoming quite obvious : With a SRP2.3 equipped for digital and a SR2.3, you have a system which cost less for the whole D/A, Preamp and Power amp system than anything made before by Goldmund.

Usually, more affordable components made by high end companies are seriously cut in costs and their sound and construction quality makes them really cheap copies. What seems obvious with the new SR line, is that the exact opposite was possible.

Not only the new small Goldmund separate look much better thant their predecessors, have an engraved front panel, better finished chassis, but they are also incredibly better in sound quality. A very unique achievement from Goldmund.

When looking at power amps from JOB, Goldmund’s sister company, at the technology we developped for multi-channel in the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30 and at the fantastic developpemnt shown by the company on the Chiasma family, there is clearly a path to very high-tech, quite low-price components which could seriously compete with brands of the mid-fi world like Linn or B&O.

Will this be a fourth family of Goldmund products in 2005, as some people are starting to suggest ?

Anybody has an Apologue to sell ?

Our friend Jason Ma, Goldmund distributor in Taiwan is looking to buy a Goldmund Apologue to display in his coming new Showroom. Even a single piece could satisfy him, even a non-working model could do. Please refer to him directly or let us know if you have a track to find one.
