New Products - Product Improvements
A new SR Universal Preamplifier, the SR8 is announced by Goldmund
With only 8 outputs channel and the size of a Goldmund SR product, the new Goldmund SR8 shares most of the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30 technology. In fact all the critical circuitry is alike. Except for the number of channels the only other limitation is a single local zone.
The 2-channel and multi-channel sound quality remains of the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30 type, making the SR8 the best sounding preamp ever made for the price.
As a Multi-channel processor, the quality is also a dream compared to other products in the same price league.
As the Mimesis 24 and Mimesis 30, the Goldmund SR8 provides an extreme flexibility to the placement and number of speakers in the room, even if their maximum number of discrete channels is “limited” to 8.
After the considerable success of the new Goldmund Universal Preamplifier concept introduced with the Mimesis 24 and the Mimesis 30, the new Goldmund SR8 brings the final note to make the new Universal concept really universally accepted.
The new SR8 is planned for first delivery in October.
Sweet, Sweet, Sweeter !
More modular than the AC-Curator, but using the same circuitry, the new Goldmund Sweeter will replace it, providing 2 output channels of line conditioning for low-power units.
Built like the previous JOB Sweeter, the Goldmund Sweeter is universal in voltage and each of its power plugs may provide up to 60 Watts.
The sound quality of the Sweeter Line Conditioner is especially noticeable when connected to an analogue preamplifier or a D/A converter. With its limiter output power it cannot be used to power an amplifier.

New Goldmund Web site
No need to present you the new Goldmund web site. You are seeing it right now.
Much easier to navigate, it makes you find the page you need faster and more accurately. As you see it today, it keeps all the information of our previous Web site, dating from 1994, but also provides many more new pages to get more information about our products or our technologies. We will continue to develop it during the months to come to make it even better, and any suggestion is welcome.
Some of you might notice that the new design makes extensive use of Web Standards issued by the World Wide Web Consortium, knowingly XHTML and CSS stylesheets. This enhanced usability of the site, and allows easier access for people browsing with screen-readers or PDAs, but the lack of support for these standards by certain older browsers can alter the design. We recommend using recent versions of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows PCs, Safari, Firefox on MacOS, or Firefox and Konqueror on Linux.
We wish you a happy visit !
