Mono Power Amplifier
Developed from the famous JOB4 circuit of the Goldmund Millennium Amplifier, the Mimesis 29.4M is the flagship amplifier in the line of Goldmund "Ultimate" components. With a power of 500W beforeclipping on 8 Ohms the Mimesis 29.4M is able to drive any speaker to its top possibilities. The speed of this amplifiers will also mark its time. With around 2.5 MHz of bandwidth at full power, the Mimesis 29.4M circuit is the first high-power amplifier circuit to be faster than its lower power siblings.
Advantages
- Very high Power before clipping : 500W/ch on 8 Ohms. This transient power is the best guarantee for hyper-realistic dynamic reproduction.

- Unique circuit time accuracy : better than 100ps. A unique figure in the industry. Time distortion remains the most detrimental type of distortion introduced by analogue electronics, because it represents a form of signal degradation not existing in real life. This figure is rarely published by high-end Audio manufacturers due to the poor results achieved by most today's design.
- Unbalanced and Balanced input available. Allows the use of a balanced preamplifier. However internally the circuit is fully unbalanced in order to provide the best possible dynamic accuracy.
- Mechanical Grounding construction for proper evacuation of any vibration-generated spurious signal inside the amplifier when played at high levels.
- Inside construction is made of 3 blocks, easy to disassemble, linked by heavy-duty Jaeger aerospace-grade connectors. Service and maintenance are considerably easier to achieve than with other amplifier designs. The power supply bloc provides 4 separate DC voltages to the amplifier circuit already rectified and pre-filtered.
- Thermal Grounding construction : The power output Mosfets are assembled on a large pure gold-plated copper heat-transmitter to achieve an ultra-fast heat transfer and so limit temperature-related dynamic losses. The isolators used are in specially-treated Kapton, the thinnest and best isolators providing the highest thermal transfer rate.
- Ultra-fast power supply design : 8 built-in high-speed transformers, separate ultra-fast rectifiers for each of the 2 supplies and low capacitor values are used in the design in order to provide the fastest possible signal amplification without power-supply-induced contamination.
- In addition to the 3 x 5-way binding post speaker outputs, the Mimesis 29.4M provides 3 Direct Goldmund Speaker Cable connection. The Direct Goldmund Speaker Connection provides the best possible link with the Goldmund Speaker Cable, avoiding its amplifier adapter. The connectors used (1.5GHz bandwidth and 4.5kW power capability) provide a contact quality and a perfect impedance matching that no banana or lug connection, even of highest quality, could offer. When coupled with the Epilogue Goldmund speaker system, no speaker adapter is used either, again increasing speed and time-accuracy of the high-energy transfer.
- Digital input module (optional). To integrate the Mimesis 29.4M in a full digitally-controlled environment, the amplifier has the capability to receive a digital input module to be directly linked by SPDIF or optical fiber (IEEE 1394 soon) to a digital source.
- Signal Sensing auto power on with adjustable sequencer and soft start to avoid power surges in multi-amp systems. Ultra-safe operation controlled by processor for glitch avoidance.
