The Mimesis 16 is the first born of a new generation of universal preamplifiers. It is the most user-friendly preamplifier made by Goldmund both for installation and tuning, even when using complex filtering configurations. Its USB input makes it an ideal preamplifier to use with a music server for instance.
The Mimesis 16 breathtaking performance is due to the latest A/D version it integrates: the famous Alize 7. It uses multiple A/D to increase its dynamic range and produce a next to perfect phase linearity. But the real step ahead lies in its incredible DSP capability and associated configurator. It now allows each speaker’s driver to be separately adjusted in frequency response, phase response and time response and to introduce the Leonardo correction to compensate for any built-in crossover. Because each channel can be filtered separately, the Universal Preamplifier can take the place of a conventional analog speaker crossover—but its digital processing ensures a more precise and transparent sound quality than any analog crossover can achieve. With the acoustic corrections brought by our Proteus software, its room correction capability will make the Mimesis 16 a revelation in all systems.
